At GES English Medium School, our Primary students enjoyed a day full of learning and laughter. On the occasion of World Book Day, children learnt the practical skill of covering their books and caring for them — a simple habit that fosters responsibility and respect for learning materials. Our teachers demonstrated safe covering techniques and shared tips on how to keep books neat and long-lasting.
Tiny tots had a blast during Fun with Red Colour Day, an activity designed to help them identify and name the vibrant shades of red. Through games, sorting tasks, and sensory play, the little ones explored reds from cherry to maroon and learned new colour words while having lots of fun.
The Art & Craft session boosted creativity across the classes: students painted, cut, and glued their ideas into colourful projects that showcased imagination and fine motor skills. These hands-on projects help children express themselves and build confidence in trying new techniques.
Finally, our Show and Tell activity encouraged young learners to become better communicators. Each child presented a small item or story to their classmates, practising clear speech, listening skills, and polite audience behaviour — essential building blocks for confident public speaking.
We’ll be adding photos from the day to the gallery soon — look out for smiling faces, colourful crafts, and little hands proudly showing their book covers!
