A Heritage of Excellence Since 1958
The Goregaon Education Society is a Public Charitable Trust founded by a group of philanthropists of Jawahar Nagar which was established on 19 th May 1958.
They started a school in Gujarati Medium with 130 students in 1958 under the name of "I. B. Patel Vidyalaya". With growing strength and further demand, a separate school for girls was started in the year 1960-61 under the name of "Sir B.J. Girls' School". The primary school continued with co-education. A separate building was constructed and was named as "P.Z. Patel Vidyalaya" in the year 1973-74 to cater to the primary education. The society catered to the needs of local Gujarati community year after year. The first batch of SSC passed out in the year 1962 and over 90% result has been the bench mark of both I. B. Patel Vidyalaya and Sir B. J. Girls' School. A separate pre-primary school was started in 1982-83 in the name of "D. S. Patel Balvatika". The society had nearly 5000 students, however with decrease in number of students in the Gujarati Medium alarmed a trend of flow towards English Medium.

To cater to the growing demand of the local public, the society started an English Medium Section under the SSC Board in the year 1984-85 with 85 students on roll with increased with the passing of years. The first batch of SSC passed out in the year 1997 making the school proud with 100% result. To be at par with the growing trends and changes in education the English Medium section was converted to ICSE Board in the year 2001-02.
To keep at pace with the latest technologies and demand of learners, under the guidelines of Shri. Harshadbhai Patel the Kindergarten Section with the Playgroup Little Stars took its birth. The system followed being informal, the budding ones learn through play way method. To make learning joyful, air- conditioned and theme based class room are equipped with interactive boards, educational toys and other educational material supported by the team of competent and creative faculty. The section is equipped with Play Area, Sand Pit, Swimming Pool and a full-fledged computer lab etc.
Today the English Medium Section has the best infrastructure catering to the demands of the Board including full-fledged Science Laboratories, Library, Computer Lab, student's friendly classrooms with latest technologies.
